I can't get over the
level of cuteness that walked into the classroom this morning. Amazing!
We had a fun and casual day (can't work ourselves too hard at 100) with
it being a half day. Here are some pictures from today. I didn't
realize until I uploaded them if a mustache was falling off or glasses were crooked. Too cute. The students couldn't stop laughing at me, as well. They were surprised I participated!

American Symbols Challenge
Last week we spent a lot of time learning about four important American symbols! Please ask your child these questions. Email me their answers and 2/3 correct will earn a little prize. Thank you!
1. Which country gave the United States the Statue of Liberty?
2. Why was the Liberty Bell rung in 1776?
3. The bald eagle has excellent ___________.
Bonus! How many stairs are there from the pedestal to the top of the crown in the Statue of Liberty?

Valentine's Day and 100th Day Information!
Students will be creating their own valentine holders using clear gallon milk jugs. Please send one (must be cleaned out WELL) in to school at any point before 2/10. I will send home a list soon with names for valentines. Please remember we have a no food policy so this also applies to valentines (no candy attached). Thank you!
I will be asking for parent volunteers to do some craft stations on this day (similar to Halloween). If you are interested, please email me. I am hoping to get five different stations going. :)
Our 100th day is scheduled to be on February 11th as of now. Please think about how you can have your child dress as they are 100 years old! I will send home a detailed letter soon but this is a fun way to dress up on this day! It is optional. Be thinking suspenders, gray hair, pearls, etc. I have pictures on this blog from last year for some ideas!
